What we collect
Your name, email and password (handled by Amazon Cognito), and the profile details you choose to add: role, new member class, office, major, hometown, city and state, company, title, industry, experience, education, military service, skills, topics, honors, LinkedIn, bio and photo. We also store the posts, comments, jobs, requests, messages and interest in openings you create, and the members and companies you block.
Who can see it
- Your chapter. Members of your own chapter can see your profile and what you post. You can hide yourself from your chapter's directory in Edit profile.
- Messages. Direct messages are visible only to the people in them.
- Email and phone. Kept in a private record, shared only with people you accept (a sister's contact request or an employer's request).
- Employers (optional, off by default). If you turn on "Show me to verified employers", companies we've approved and that have an active plan can see a profile card with your name, chapter, school, class, position, headline, work, education, skills, city and state, and military service, and can send you requests about roles. Active members are shown for internships only, until their senior year.
- Employer openings. If you tap "I'm interested" on an opening, your profile card and the note you write are shared with that one company. No other company sees it.
How it's stored
Data is stored with Amazon Web Services (DynamoDB and Cognito) in the United States, and push notifications are delivered through Apple Push Notification service. Employer plans are paid through Stripe; we never see or store card details. We don't sell your data, show ads, or use third-party tracking.
Admins
Your chapter's admins can manage the chapter, approve and remove members, change member roles, read reports members file, and hide a company's openings from the chapter. They can't see your private contact record or which employers contacted you.
Deleting your data
Delete your account from You, then Delete account. This removes your profile, your employer card and your login. Posts and messages you sent may remain visible to the people you shared them with.
